Gala night, 50th celebration and all the gala queens through the years have been asked to come and celebrate.
Here we are with our neighbour, Granny K.
They all look delighted with each other
Giving away their pennies
J and his friend chose an ice cream treat.
B wanted a tounge painter!
Even our cat wanted to get involved in the fun!
Right the way up to the seat on the float.
This voodoo lady was delighted by her visitor.
How chuft are this pair with their turn on the float.
The Vikings are here!
They have come to our little town and are staying for the week with lots of fun activities for the children to get. Involved in loving history.
B feeling a little silly
J was less embarrassed
Having a wee sit down in one of the cosy looking tents.
Neither of them could get the mill to turn a full circle.
We were told that a slave girl could have been bought for 3 silver coins, she would then have spent her days spinning this mill. Ending up with an oddly shaped pair of shoulders.
We loved watching the way the vikings make fire using flint and a small piece of cloth.
J was very excited to try out the silverware.
More hat wearing
I had to have my turn too
J needs a little practice with his writing, I’ve set him the challenge to keep a journal for the summer.
One sentence for every day.
B is joining in wholeheartedly, with an average of 8 sentences a day, she loves to write!
Look at that smile!
Isn’t it fabulous!
What I didn’t get a picture of was our little friend R and her mum A joined us on the beach too.
R took our J by the hand and led him to the top of the very highest dune and . . . .Leapt!
J was Delighted!
I asked him, would he have done that on his own?
He said, No!
I asked was he glad that R had taken him?
YES! It was brilliant Mummy!
J on the phone with his Daddy tonight
J : I’ve had enough talking to you tonight Daddy
Daddy : oh, have you son? 😀
J : yeah
Then he presses the red button, call over
Later on, as we are having bedtime cuddles
J : I am falling in love with you
Me: Really, and when did you start falling?
J : Day before yesterday
